Professor Christopher Simpson explores Kierkegaard March 12

Dr. Christopher Simpson, philosophy professor and author, will explore "Kierkegaard: The Subjective of Truth and the Grandeur of Reason" Thursday, March 12 at Seminary of the Southwest.

Dr. Simpson's lecture will begin at 5:30pm in the seminary's Knapp Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public. Southwest is a few blocks north of the University of Texas campus at 501 E. 32nd Street. Visitors parking is available at the southeast corner of Duval and East 32nd with entrance off 32nd Street.

Dr. Simpson is assistant professor of philosophy and interdisciplinary studies at Lincoln Christian College in Illinois. He is the author of Religion, Metaphysics and the Postmodern: William Desmond and John Caputo and Caputo: A Very Critical Introduction.

He holds the Ph.D. degree in theology from the University of Nottingham, a master's in contemporary Christian theology and philosophy from Lincoln Christian Seminary and a second master's in religious studies from the University of Iowa, and a bachelor's in religion from Eastern New Mexico University.
