Janet Davis refers to herself as “one who gathers stories.” After several years in hospital chaplaincy, she now works as a spiritual director, writer, and speaker. Janet has published three books:The Feminine Soul: Surprising Ways the Bible Speaks to Women, (Navpress, 2006), Sacred Healing: MRIs, marigolds, and miracles (Twenty-third Publications, 2010), and most recently, My Own Worst Enemy: How to Stop Holding Yourself Back (Bethany House, 2012). Her work is often focused around grief work, feminine spirituality, and Scripture. She and her husband, Bob, are active members at St. David's, Austin. Janet’s most recent adventures include blogging (Women, Wisdom, and the Word ) forPatheos.com, grand-mothering Georgia, her first grand child, and teaching at Southwest.
