God Calls Us All in Different Ways
Seminary of the Southwest is devoted to forming Christian leaders for ministry in the great variety of communities both within and outside the Church. Every student who enters Seminary of the Southwest experiences a formation in spirit, soul, and body, the goal of which is a mature Christianity lived as a "wholesome example" for all.
We are profoundly committed to the notion that all Christians have a vocation, a call from God into an identity and purpose uniquely one's own.
Discernment
Visitors Weekend at Seminary of the Southwest lets you explore educational opportunities in lay and ordained ministry. Join fellow seekers who are discerning or pursuing their call from God.
Throughout the weekend you will get a feel for the campus and our community. There will be small group activities that allow for discussion of formation and vocational discernment, community life, finances, housing and academics.
Students will be available to discuss why they chose Seminary of the Southwest and the impact of that choice.
Staged annually by seminarians, this vocational discernment event begins on Friday afternoon and concludes Saturday evening.
Registration deadline for the Spring Visitors Weekend is noon on March 5. The Weekend's $45 registration fee covers overnight accommodations, meals and airport shuttle.
