Southwest sponsors Hispanic Ministries Conference

 

Seminary of the Southwest will host the annual Hispanic Ministries Clergy Conference August 12-15, 2012 at Camp Allen near Navasota, Texas. The conference is designed to offer continuing education, fellowship, spiritual formation, and relaxation for Hispanic clergy and their spouses or anyone involved with Hispanic ministries. 

Southwest plans launch of Episcopal program in Spanish

 

Seminary of the Southwest announces the launch of Episcopal Theological Education for Emerging Ministries (ETEEM)slated to begin October 17 – 19, 2013.  ETEEM is a joint certificate program conducted in Spanish by Southwest and the Lutheran Seminary Program in the Southwest.

Kathleen Russell appointed to pastoral theology position

The Board of Trustees at the May 7 meeting on the seminary campus approved the recommendation of the faculty and education committee to appoint the Rev. Kathleen Russell, DMin, associate professor of pastoral theology. 

Professor Russell joined the faculty at Southwest in 2005 to teach contextual theology for ministry and to lead the field education program, both of which she will continue in her new role.
